Yet again this year, we are sending out a blank Mad Lib for the fun-loving among you to create your very own version of a Boyd holiday letter. But if you’re curious about the official version, read on.

Our 2017 Mad Lib

This year, Rosie, age _____ (number), got a _____ (fictional creature) haircut. Lucy, age _____ (number), took a _____ (noun) class at the (same noun) Institute of _____ (city). The factual version

This year, Rosie, age 9, got a pixie haircut. Lucy, age 11, took an art class at the Art Institute of Chicago. The girls tried paddleboarding for the first time. Ann knitted a sweater from yarn reclaimed from a sweater her mother knitted 50 years ago. Jon learned how to shuck oysters. And in June, Jon and Ann heard U2 in concert.

  1. We were hoping it might be true that Ann knitted a pussy hat from yarn reclaimed from a sweater Jay Leno knitted 88 years ago! Oh well, sounds pretty neat anyway. Slimy Christmas and a happy saltlick to you!

I enjoy the comings and goings.A chance to say hello and catch up with whats going on across the garden fence.Back to a time when we saw the neighbors up and down the block with a view from our back yards.Seeing young girls grow into young ladies.We appreciate the times we see the snow is shoveled already as it sometimes is harder to to get up enthusiasm for the great outdoors .Fresh baked goods my oh my some ,shared fresh veggies .Flowers every which way you look.The start of the ball season with the Boyd boys off somewhere.flamingos everywhere looking for a new destination.It all began with a surprise hug many years ago.Thanks for the memories we make them every day and should be cherished till the end of time.
